Red Dot Games seem to be considering replacing parts repair entirely with some kind of minigame, judging by the suggestions thread. Provided it isn't per-part (which would take forever and a day), that's definitely superior to shift-clicking on what feels like 100 separate parts several times.

100% chance for full, free repair might be a bit much, I think. I'm not sure why they went with that system, though, when Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 had a decent, well-balanced repair system where you'd pay money for repairs I think based on part condition and get a guaranteed 100% part. That game also had a second-hand parts shop for cheap parts of random quality, as well. Why these features got cut from Car Mechanic Similator 2015 and either abandoned or replaced with worse features, I cannot say. You know it is already possible to repair parts by 100%. Either you call it cheating or not. It's rather inconvinient though.
See all you have to do is save and quit when succeed a repair and reload if it fails. Simple as that. I mean I understand all the fuss about how repair cant be 100% and all but. In all seriousness it sucks. Especially when you have to repair a part multiple times. Well lets put it this way. When you repair something once your chance to succeed is 90%.
However when you have to repair a part more than once chances of success goes down drastically. 1 time repair = 90% 2 time repair = 81% 3 time repair = 72% 4 time repair = 65% 5 time repair = 59%. Or you can say 1 of each 10 tries will be a fail. In my humble opinion capping repair chance at 90% is pointless in all ways. I am not going to deny.

I will reload the game as many times as necessary if I need to get every part to 100%. Just it takes more time. I mean it would be great if they could take the condition of the part in consideration too. I.E: 90% + 10%x(condition of the part) That way it would balance the repair chances. A part with 30% condition and all repair tools = 90%+3% =93%.
With 60% condition and all repair tools = 90%+6% =96%. With 90% condition and all repair tools = 90%+9% =99% that makes it more like how it would work. Just putting it here. When restoring a car you bought I find that currently the restoration bonus for fixing a car up to 100% more than compensates you for any parts you might trash by clicking repair on them repeatedly until they get to 100%, so there is really no reason not to just click away at the repair bench 'til there's nothing left to click, and then buy any parts that got trashed. I'd be more interested in an approach whereby you get one shot at repairing something and no guarantee as to how well it gets repaired. You might only get it from 40% to 72% for instance, then have to decide whether that'll do or to replace it.
The restoration bonus (if any) should not make that decision a no-brainer (and perhaps the restoration bonus should have some unpredictable variablity to it). I'm tired of knowing I just have to repair or replace everything back to 100% and I'll get exactly $x and that is the way to go because that is guarateed to be the most profitable route.
There's no game to it.
